Ginger & Soy Sablefish

I bought some fresh in season sablefish so I thought that I would make an Asian inspired marinade for it for dinner tonight! I really like the flavors that Asian spices give to fish and this one I am sure is going to turn out to be a winner. Here is the recipe- give it a try and let me know how it turned out for you?

5 6ounce pieces of filet of Sablefish

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1 tablespoon of sesame seeds

Ginger Soy Marinade

1 cup of reduced sodium soy sauce

3/4 cup of sake

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 tablespoon of chopped fresh ginger

1 1/2 teaspoons of chooped garlic

1 1/2 tablespoons of sesame oil or you can subsitute olive oil use the same amount

4 tablespoons of brown sugar

Directions

Marinade pieces of sablefish in marinade for 30 minutes or longer depending on strong you like your flavors in a ziplock bag. Spray baking pan with non stick cooking spray lay out pieces and bake in a preheated oven at 450 degrees for about 12-14 minutes or until fish flakes. Remove fish and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, turn the oven on broil place fish in the center of the oven and broil for 2-4 minutes until brown and lightly crispy.
