The Best Hot Buttered Rum Recipe!

hot buttered rumIf you are planning on spending any time this winter season out in the cold doing a variety of activities then may I recommend this recipe from David Wolowidnyk. I hope that you enjoy your holiday season although this recipe is good any time of the year.

Hot Buttered Rum Batter

1 lb Butter (un-salted/room temperature)

1 lb Demerara Sugar

1 lb Caster (Berry) Sugar

1 tbsp Cinnamon (ground)

1 tbsp Vanilla Extract (pure)

1 tsp Nutmeg (freshly grated)

1 tsp Clove (ground)

1/4 tsp lemon juice


Mix all ingredients with together until smooth.Then using a piping bag, dispense individual portions onto a parchment lined cookie sheet approximately 1-2 tbsp in size. Freeze until solid then collect them into a container or freezer bag and keep frozen until ready to use. Makes 50-75 portions, Depending on your Preference.


Place one portion of “Batter” into a mug, add two ounces of Rum (preferably dark), and top with boiling water. Stir thoroughly and Enjoy
